Ancient Hero of Zamor is in the lowest tier of bosses in Elden Ring, Field Bosses, and is found in the Weeping Evergaol on the Weeping Peninsula. You need to insert a Stonesword Key into the Imp Statue along the outer circle to make this evergaol accessible.

I apologize for the picture quality of this video – the recording settings had somehow gotten reset, and I didn't realize this until I was about to edit the video. I hope it's tolerable, nonetheless.

As you may know, bosses in Elden Ring are divided into three tiers. From lowest to highest: Field Bosses, Greater Enemy Bosses and finally Demigods and Legends.

Ancient Hero of Zamor is in the lowest tier, Field Bosses, and is found in the Weeping Evergaol on the Weeping Peninsula. You need to insert a Stonesword Key into the Imp Statue along the outer circle to make this evergaol accessible.

Once you enter the evergaol and approach the glowing area on the ground, the boss will appear, in a foul mood and ready to ruin your day, just like all his colleagues.

He looks like a tall, slender skeleton wearing armor and a very large axe. He's glowing in a blueish purple color, which should give you a hint that he has some very nasty frost attacks in store for you.

He attacks quickly and has more range than you would expect on many of his combos, so stay alert and keep rolling. When he's about to charge up his frost attacks, it's best to keep your distance and wait them out before trying to get some hits in. If you have good ranged damage output, this could be an opportunity to lay some pain on him while cackling like a mad person.

Considering that he's a lesser boss in a starter area, I found him more difficult than I would expect, but as so often before it's about learning attack patterns and figuring out opportune moments.

I don't know how he got his hero title, but it didn't seem very heroic of him to use so many dirty tricks just to try to defeat poor little me, when he could have just handed over his runes and loot to help me on my quest to restore order to the world. Instead, I found he had a rather bad attitude and wasn't very hero-like, but fortunately my spear is an excellent attitude readjustment tool, especially when you insert it in a grumpy boss's face, which is exactly what I did ;-)
