Elden Ring: Bloodhound Knight Darriwil (Forlorn Hound Evergaol) Boss Fight

Bloodhound Knight Darriwil is in the lowest tier of bosses in Elden Ring, Field Bosses, and is the only enemy found within the Forlorn Hound Evergaol. If you've talked to Blaidd before entering the evergaol, you can summon Blaidd to help you fight him, which will make the fight completely trivial.

As you may know, bosses in Elden Ring are divided into three tiers. From lowest to highest: Field Bosses, Greater Enemy Bosses and finally Demigods and Legends.

Bloodhound Knight Darriwil is in the lowest tier, Field Bosses, and is the only enemy found within the Forlorn Hound Evergaol.

Before entering this evergaol and fighting the boss, you should probably find Blaidd the half-wolf in the Mistwood Ruins. When you hear him howling, you need to go to Merchant Kale and ask him about the howling, at which point he will teach you the Finger Snap gesture. Using that on Blaidd will make him come down to the ground where you can talk to him and he will give you the quest to watch out for someone called Darriwil.

If you've talked to Blaidd before entering the evergaol, you can summon Blaidd to help you fight him, which will make the fight completely trivial. Blaidd throws the boss around so much that it actually takes effort to keep up and land some blows yourself ;-)

After the fight, Blaidd will even reward you for killing the boss. I usually don't summon help for bosses, but as this was a quest, I did summon Blaidd for this one and he made it very easy.
