Elden Ring: Deathbird (Warmaster's Shack) Boss Fight

Deathbird is in the lowest tier of bosses in Elden Ring, Field Bosses, and can be found outdoors east of the Warmaster’s Shack in Limgrave, near the tipped-over ruins with several trolls around. Like most lesser bosses in Elden Ring, this one is optional in the sense that you do not need to kill it to advance the story.
As you may know, bosses in Elden Ring are divided into three tiers. From lowest to highest: Field Bosses, Greater Enemy Bosses and finally Demigods and Legends.

This boss will only spawn at night, so if you get there during the day, just rest at a nearby Site of Grace and pass time until Nightfall.
Deathbird looks like a giant chicken where someone has already gotten to the meat before you, as there are only bones left. It will come swooping down, apparently in a foul mood over its sad state, and try to pick a fight with you with what appears to be a very large fire poker.
It is highly vulnerable to Holy damage – as you can see, the first hit from my Sacred Blade took almost half its health. For some reason I found it a bit difficult to actually hit it in melee. I guess my positioning was off, but considering the high amount of damage it took from Sacred Blade’s initial ranged missile, I just used that a couple of more times to finish off the giant chicken.
I was worried that the large trolls in the area would team up with the Deathbird and participate in a beating session with me on the receiving end, but they knew what was good for them and stayed out of it. However, there are some very aggressive goats in the area that will happily join in. Guess I’m having roasted goat for dinner ;-)
