Elden Ring: Night's Cavalry (Limgrave) Boss Fight

Night's Cavalry is in the lowest tier of bosses in Elden Ring, Field Bosses, and can be found patrolling on the bridge near Stormveil Castle in Limgrave, but only at night. If you go there during the day, you will encounter a regular mounted enemy instead, so just go to a nearby Site of Grace and pass time until nightfall and the boss will appear.
As you may know, bosses in Elden Ring are divided into three tiers. From lowest to highest: Field Bosses, Greater Enemy Bosses and finally Demigods and Legends.
Night's Cavalry is in the lowest tier, Field Bosses, and can be found patrolling on the bridge near Stormveil Castle in Limgrave, but only at night. If you go there during the day, you will encounter a regular mounted enemy instead, so just go to a nearby Site of Grace and pass time until nightfall and the boss will appear.
Night's Cavalry appear in several places throughout the Lands Between. They are pitch-black knights riding large pitch-black horses and wielding pitch-black weapons. Maybe they got a discount on pitch at some point or maybe it's just a fashion statement.
The one in Limgrave is armed with a halberd, so the fight feels a bit like Tree Sentinel, but it is significantly easier.
I started the fight mounted, but early on I managed to hit some button that I still haven't figured out which is, so I dismounted and I just thought oh well, I'll fight him on foot instead. I don't particularly enjoy mounted combat anyway, maybe because I'm no good at it.
He has a very long reach with his halberd and as usual, his horse is trying its best to imprint your face with hoof marks, but compared to some other bosses, their attack pattern isn't very hard to roll away from and follow-up with getting a few good hits in while both horse and rider marvel at how awesome you are at rolling.
In the previous video where I fought the Night's Cavalry on Weeping Peninsula, I complained that when mounted I was always attacking downwards, so I ended up killing the horse instead of the boss. That happened on this guy as well even though I was on foot, but this time I was better prepared and actually managed to thoroughly stab him with a critical hit when he fell off, taking a huge chunk of his health in the process.
Oh, what a warm and fuzzy feeling that gave me ;-)
